I am looking for a benchmark test tool. Would be helpful if it was
free - makes life easier. I tried to get hold of the Winstone tools
from Ziff Davis but it looks like they are no longer available. And
the problem with PCMarkXX products is the minimum spec is a 400MHz
PC. We need to test from a 200MHz PX with 64MB RAM up.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Go here: http://www.freshdevices.com/

You want the one called "Fresh Diagnose"

The Program is pretty good, has a big selection of stuff, and is free.
In order to use the benchmarks, though, you will have to register with
them, and they'll send you back the "unlock" key. Worst part about that
is you get a promo email from them about once every ten days - that's it.

The one benchmark test in it that refuses to work on my computer is the
CD benchmark. All the rest are quite good, though the hard drive and
processor databases included with it are a couple of years old, it seems.

It's not the best set of diagnostic tools in the world, but you can't
beat the price, and it is graphically beautiful.
