Belkin 8-in1 USB Media Reader / Writer power usage

I've hunted high and low for tehnical information related to the power usage
of the above device that draws its power from the USB port. I'm a little
concerned as to how much and hence would like to hear if anyone knows how
much power it actually draws.

Unless they violated the USB spec it's going to be <= 500mA @ 5V. The
main issue would usually be if your forced to attach another
relatively high amperage USB device to the second port, same socket.
I doubt that it uses the whole 500mA though.
