Beginners woes

I gave it my best shot, learned some things, and now I'm clueless. I have
set up 7 slides in PP that contain refrains and verses to a song to be used
to help people sing as in a church meeting. Ok, I got the slides in order, I
ripped the song to my hard drive in i-tunes, and tried all the "help"
solutions, but nothing. Please help:

1. I believe I know already, but how to you download the song to the slides
correctly?
2. How do you sync the song slides with the song itself so that once you
click to start the presentation, the slides automatically change with the
music?
3. When I import the song to PP, it is not visible as a sound file, only
when I click on "all" files. What's up with that? Do I need to convert
something...where and how?
4. In what order do I do all of this...add the music, timing of music to
slides for automatic run?

Ron: I am trying to incorporate a song that playes through out the entire
length of the slides. All I can do is have music on the first slide then it
stopes.

There are a couple ways of doing it but assuming you want the song to play
throughout the presentation, see:

PowerPoint doesn't really do this. You can use the Rehearse Show feature to
record times pretty easily then tweak them manually but it's always going to be
a bit off, especially when you switch computers. If possible, change the slides
manually during performance.

You left out the bit about "cursing, tearing out hear, throwing mouse across
room" <g> Seriously, if you can trigger the slide changes manually, thats' the
best bet.
