One of the fields in my database I want to display 1
decimal place, even if it is .0. But depsite trying
various diffent options for the data type I find that .1
to.9 are displayed but when it is .0 the .0 is not
displayed. I know this is a simple question but plese help.
Also, I would like to learn more about using Access, can
anyone recommend a good book or tell me how they learnt?
(I have done CLAIT+ and ECDL but they are extremely basic)

If you are able to set the rignt number of decimals (1 in
your case) when your number is not an integer, presumably
you have found how to set the Decimal Places property for
your table or form or...
Well, wherever you did this, there is also a property
called Format tight before the Decimal Places one. Set
this one to "standard" and your job is done.

Thanks for that help - it is working fine now. Can you
recommend a good book to help with Access?

I would reccommend the book Microsoft Office 2000, it
teaches you all the basics using databases. It will also
teach you the basics when using excel and word as well. I
found the book very useful and you can purchase it at any
book store.
