I have a current site that was designed by someone else. I am now
responsible for updating it using Frontpage. Can you tell me how to open the
current pages in Frontpage to begin editing? Thanks in advance for any
direction.

File Menu | Open Site and enter http://www.thedomainname.com

The site must be hosted on a server that has the FP extensions and you will need to have the FP
login info.

Hi Lanie
Its very easy.
First establish where the of the website folder is. If it is on your pc its
very easy. Open front page then click the open folder icon, this by default
will open the website folder. In this folder then should be located your
website, double click this then it will open the folder to show you the files
inside. All your html pages will be shown with blue icon with a big e on
them. look for one named index, this is your homepage as it was. Double click
this and your page will open. Adjust what you need to then when you are
ready, go to file and publish, this will take you to the publish page. You
now need to know how you can publish. This normally will be either ftp (most
common) or http for websites which have server extensions. You will need to
know your web address username and password. Type these in and just hit
publish and you will upload to your server.
If you do not have the web on your PC you can import it from the server by
using the import button, again you will need the ftp address or http address
,username and password to get the site onto your PC. Hope this has made sense.
