what's the easiest way to access a private network with a
win 2000 server with a pubblic internet address from home,
using my adsl connection?
 
What type of firewall/NAT/router do you have at the
private network?

It is usually easier to have the/a private machine connect
OUTBOUND to the public machine.
 
I can see a pubblic address, no filters on it

Still doesn't tell me what sort of firewall/router/NAT you
have.

If it were a Linux or Win2000 machine it could be a VPN
server -- L2TP (or PPTP).

If you need limited access, some such routers can do
port forwarding (or address/port mapping).
