i have 2000 and xp partitioned on my t20 laptop. i have a
beeping nois e thta is constant with no pattern. can
anyone help?

search for the latest Windows XP audio drivers, download and install
them.

You haven't provided enough information. For example, it's
not clear from your post whether the beeping noise is
coming from you or from the computer.

Just a thought. Laptops are notorious for heat build up
maybe it's a audible warning that you're over heating.

Suggest a prompt back up of your laptop hard drive if possible. I noticed it
on occasion, never really figured out what it was and now have a dead hard
drive.
Wish I'd noticed this post a week ago!
