Hi,

the air coming out of the back of my computer is very hot
and after about an hour or so a beeping sounds comes out
from the computer, shutting the computer down or
restarting the computer eliminates this sound, but it
occurs again after a while.

PLEASE HELP!

Take your computer to a qualified computer technician
and have the power supply unit tested.....it may need replacement.

Or if you're Power Supply saavy try this.

Look at the back of your PC when you turn it on. Is the fan turning? No?
Unplug and take out the power supply. Go to your local PC parts store and
buy a fan that fits. Take it home and replace the fan. Reinstall the power
supply and plug in. Start the computer. If the new fan turns then you just
saved yourself lots of dough by not having a technician charge you to check
this. If the air is hot and it's beeping and shutting down then it's not a
question of if but when the tech will suggest replacing the power supply.

I replaced the fan in mine and the fan cost 3 bucks. Much better than
paying $50-75 for a new power supply plus labor to install it.

Take the case off and make sure the fans are running on your video and cpu
fan. If they are then leave the case off for awhile and see if improvement.
