Beep

Hi, I am new to xp, used 98 forever. I get this beep in
the case speaker everytime I hit either shift key.
Sometimes it holds up a letter, but I think I fixed that
by turning off the 'sticky keys'. But the beep is still
there. My wife has xp on her computer and it isn't doing
it.

Any help?

the end of this route.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sound and left click on
sound to bring up the keys in the right panel and then
right click on "beep" and click modify and change value to
no. Good luck.

I did as you said, but no luck, still there, and hangs

up the next letter randomly.

Mind has "beep" value with yes but it does not make a beep when shift
key is pressed.
