I wrote an application on the CF, and I want to be able to beam it to
people to install. If they don't have the CF on their pocket pc, how
can I beam them the installer?

Best,

Ah--that's tricky. The CF.NET installation is quite a bit over a megabyte.
Your best bet is to find folks with PPC 2003 devices, which have CF.NET in
ROM. Otherwise, create an SD card that is "AutoRun-enabled" so that upon
insertion it fires up the installers (for CF then your app).

Just a follow-up: I opened an issue with Microsoft. As it turns out,
the .NET Compact Framework is redistributable as a CAB (which you can
find if you install the MSI). They said that you can't break it apart
and redistribute sub-components, though.

And, yes, we have to do it from a memory card because the beaming of
the .NET Compact Framework CAB takes 7 minutes over the IR port.
