Hi,

I keep getting a Fatal Error screen on a brand-new Dell Dimension 3100
PC. The machine has been reloaded twice from the Restore disk, but without
success (i.e. the same fault persists) - the SATA drive connection has been
changed to the 'other' socket (in case a SATA port was the culprit), but the
problem still persists. I'm beginning to suspect an early failure on the
SATA HDD, but can't find a way prove it.

Can anyone offer any advice please? More specific Fatal Error screen
details will be available, as soon as it packs up again.

TIA,

Philip

Why are you messing around?
Reject the PC, its not fit for purpose.
As you are in the UK and if it actually is new, simply reject it. There is
no need to let Dell or anyone repair it. Reject it!!!!!!!!!!

It's a brand new computer. This is what warranties are for. Call Dell.
