BCM vs. Customer Manager

Hello, we have been struggling through using BCM just like you have for the
past year or so. The features just aren't there, and the ones that are,
don't seem to work correctly! What a hassle! We've wanted to hang on and
wait for a new version, but we're getting to the point that we're just going
to have to do something else.

My question is, has anyone here used a small business option from Quickbooks
called Customer Manager? The feature list *appears* to top BCM, but I'd like
to know if there are any features of BCM that I really should stop and think
about before I throw away.

What is the ADVANTAGE of BCM, and what will I be missing by NOT using it?

I've played briefly with Customer Manager, and overall it seemed nice. I
didn't really put it through the paces to see how truly useable it was. If
you haven't done so yet, you can download a trial version and give it a go
yourself.

As for BCM, I'm pretty much in agreement with you. I'm on the verge of just
returning to native OL - the trade-off of the few things in BCM that I really
like vs. the flexibility of OL is leaning in OL's favor now, with no new
version of BCM on the horizon (as far as I can tell)...

Have you seen Prophet 2004? It sits right inside Outlook and does all the
CRM tasks. I dumped BCM for it and am well pleased.
