I have an office machine and a mobile machine. Have created the shared
database on the mobile machine fine and on the lan it works. When remotely
connected with VPN it fails performance wise. I do not need to work offline
bu simply synchronise. In fact a scheduled synch once a day would be great.
Can it just do a synch without trying to work online remotely?

As well, how do I keep the office BCM database in a different location i.e.
not in the default as this is not in line with my security and backup regime?

Thanks
Andrew

This scenario is addressed in BCM 2007 with the introduction of offline
mode. BCM 2003 fuctions only in online mode.

Please backup BCM using the Business Tools -> Manage Database -> Backup
feature.
