Yes it can and it works with the .PST contact folders. It lists the Business
Contacts and Accounts. When I choose Accounts as the source I get the
following message:
This operation cannot be completed because of dialog or database engine
failures. Please try again later.
"Choose Accounts as the source" for what? Give us some steps we can walk
through.

I run the mail merge wizard in Publisher and I choose Outlook as the source
of the data. It will then display all the contact folders available within
outlook. When I choose the Accounts folder as the source, I get the
following error:
This operation cannot be completed because of dialog or database engine
failures. Please try again later.
I can't duplicate that error here and have no idea whether it's coming from
Outlook or Publisher. You might try using Help | Detect and Repair to repair
your installation or attempt the merge with Word instead of publisher.
Another course of action if you have a retail version of Office 2003 Pro or
Small Business, would be to initiate a support incident with Microsoft at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;en-us;incidentsubmit. You
will need a .Net Passport, but there should be no charge for filing the
request.
