I can not open any file, new or old in Publisher. I get the following message:

Publisher experienced a serious problem with the 'business contact manager
for outlook' add-in. If you have seen this message multiple times you should
disable this add-in and check to see if an update is available. So you want
to disable this add-in?

Publisher shuts down and reopens but will not allow me to do anything at
all. Eventually Outlook shuts down.

Fix???

Thanks for reporting this. Try logging off Windows and logging back on. Then launch Publisher. Does that resolve the error?

After reading your post I tried to open one of the same documents that would
not open yesterday. It opened in record time with no error. Now I can't
remember if the computer was rebooted since the error message or not but I
tend to think not.

I'm glad to see that it is now working properly but dare I say it? this is
after all MS Windows. Sorry.

In all candor, not since Windows 95 have I had so many issues as with BCM,
or at least I think that is the culprit. I have been running fairly smooth
and clean for a few years. I have currently 12 computers in my company and
our company used to manage the network and help desk for two small clients
with about 25 computers each so I have some experience with daily problems.
Since XP I have been very pleased and the two clients fired us because
everything worked so well.

Anyway, I understand that BCM is being called on to do some pretty
sophisticated work and I appreciate the features imensly but it does shut
down a lot. Hopefully the so appointed folks will get the bugs fixed and some
updates out.

Thanks for the quick response. Jim
