Ian,
I have BCMv2 running on a client site with SBS2003.
You will need;
A copy of Office 2003 with BCM for the server.
Sp1 or later for Office 2003
A person who you can train to run the database backup manually at the
server - or a 3rd party backup facility that can backup MSDE databases online.
Enough space on the C: drive of the serve for the database because no one
can tell me how to move it to another drive.
At the server...
Install Office (or just outlook) at the server and set up BCMv2 there. Then
from the server run outlook and create the database.
Choose to share the database and add other users to it. When you do this
you'll need to start the 'Windows Firewall and ICS service' otherwise you'll
get some error about 'no endpoints'. You may want to switch this service off
again as it may interfere with web browsing, depending on how you have this
setup.
For each user
When Outlook runs the BCM setup wizard, rather than setting up a new
database choose the option to select an existing database, and then specify
the server as the conputer and it should offer you the BCM database.
Svend.
