I had some problems with BCM. Microsoft help instructed me to uninstall all
of office 2007, and reinstall. Now BCM works great except I cannot create an
offline database. I have looked, and found that I do not have a "mssmlbiz"
instance. Can someone here tell me how to install the proper mssmlbiz?

BCM Setup installs Sql Server, asking it to create an mssmlbiz
instance, where BCM will create its databases.

If Sql Server is already installed on the machine but there isn't a
mssmlbiz instance, the Sql Server will create a new instance.

Thanks for the reply. It didn't work.
I ended up removing all of outlook, SQL Server vss writer, and SQL Native
Server Client. I then reinstalled SQL Express SP2, and "unticked" Hide
advanced configuration options, which allowed me to install a named option
"MSSMLBIZ" (rather than the defaule SQL instance).
I was then able to re-install outlook with BCM, and lo and behold, it
worked.
I am now holding my breath that this didn't screw any thing else up.
