BCM and SQL connection issues " can not connect to database"

I am using Outlook 2003 with BCM. A few days ago I was unable to log into
my business contacts. a meesage popped up that said Business Contact Manager
cannot access the database. SQL server does not exsist or access denied.

I have admin rights to my PC.

I open my services and noticed that MSSQL$MICROSOFTSMLBIZ was not running.
Nor was MSSQLServerADHelper. I started 'MLBIZ but am unable to start
'ADHELPER. I tried loading my contact manager again, but it still could not
connect to the database and when I went back to services 'MLBIZ had stopped.
I am guesing that my problem resides with MSSQL. How do I trouble shoot
this?
 
I ended up removing Microsoft SQL Server Desktop edition thru Add/Remove
software. Next rebooting, then reinstalling BCMV2UPD. This reinstalled the
SQL server. My SQL services are starting porperly and I am able to connect
to my database.
