BCM and attachments

Recently I noticed that sometime the History Items of Contacts and Accounts
will retain attachments and sometimes it will not.

After testing it seems that the default behavior is that as long as you
leave the email in the inbox the attachments carry through to the History
item, however if the email is moved to Deleted Items or even another folder
under the Inbox the attachments get stripped away.

Is there a work around for this behavior?

No workaround. BCM links to the orginal message, with the attachement.
If the message is deleted, BCM will show its message form with the
data it stored about the message in the database.
