BCM Accounts & Contacts problems

I have been developeing a customer list beginning with Accounts and I have imported data into the BCM program. Now I can't add any additional business contact to the account profile through the normal portals offered and the BCM Accounts & contacts do not seem to link.
 
Why can't you add additional contacts? Do you get an error?

There are two places to add contacts; at the Primary Contact box in Accounts and the ADD box in the business contacts section of Accounts. Neither will alow me to enter new business contact entries. I click on add; the window comes up to type or select name and after I enter name the listing is not changes and no new contact is added

When I go to Business Contacts and pull up the Company listing with a contact, intending to duplicate contact for same company (like in Outlook)

If i cannot get this function working I am just moving back to Outlook proper and abandoning BCM
