OTLK 2000, clk IMPRT / EXPRT; to a file; .pst (type);

Any help you could provide, is appreciated!

Could be a number of things. Two most likely:
1. You put the file on a CD and forgot to remove its read only attribute.
2. You corrupted the file by exporting it incorrectly. Never use export to
backup a PST file. Just copy the file. Use Export only to convert to another
file format.
 
I thank you for the facts ... how to copy (Persnl flders)or (Cntcts) (which
one ?), to A:\?

Most people back up all their Outlook data at one time by simply closing
Outlook and copying their Outlook Data File (PST file) to a safe location.
Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data backup:

A PST file will usually be too large for a floppy so you would need to use
something more realistic for data storage.
