BCCode: e3 on startup

One of our remote users is getting a STOP error on startup right after logon. I've told him to switch off the automatic restart in order to get the actual STOP error information and I'm still waiting for that as well as the dump file. No new drivers or software had been installed when the problem started to occur. Looking through previous posts to various news groups I found that several people had had the same problem, but found nothing on the topic on MS Knowledgebase. Any ideas as to what might be causing this?
