Battlefield 2 for Vista - I need help with compatibility

HELP

Well I bought battlefield 2(PC CD) and after I installed it on my computer
(Windows Vista, Intel Core 2 Quad, 2GB DDR RAM. 256 MB Graphic Card). The
problem is that a black screen shows up then suddenly the battlefield 2
application just shuts off. I've got the booster pack collection installed
also, does anyone have any solution to this??? If you do PLEASE POST THE
SOLUTION

Did you run it As Administrator?

Yes I ran it as administrator, but i haven't got the patches yet so i should
try downloading the patches like VRG Scotty says to.
