Yeap, there it is in a nutshell.

Unfortunately, knowing how the Supreme Court operates in the US, (as a
political rather than a legal institution) one of two things will
probably happen.

1) With the new, even further right, political "flavor" of the court due
to recent appointments, it will rule in favor of more monopolistic and
big business "clients"

or

2) It will make sure to leave the wording ambiguous enough, as it has
been for many years now, that no one can be sure what the law is, and
the battle will continue on the streets.

So, in order to get GM back on their feet they will write the law that you
are not allowed to refill your gas tank any more. You will need to buy a new
car when out of gas.
