Not sure which brand of PC you have but on some battery's there is a button
on them and if you press it, it will show a number of 5 lights or so. The
most lights you get the more powered the battery is. If your battery doesn't
light up it isn't getting any power to get charged. You can try buying a new
battery and that might be the problem, but it could also be something on the
PC that isn't allowing the battery to be charged. Its worth a shot to buy a
new battery because they do die sometimes. You could also check in the BIOS
in the power section with the PC plugged in and see if it says charging. On
Dells this option is available along with the button on the batterys.
Good luck
Thanks

Hi, can anyone please tell me why my laptop, which uses Windows XP, will
not allow me to work on it without the AC Adaptor? This has only started in
the last few weeks, where the computer was only lasting about 20 minutes
alone. Now however, it will not work at all. Does anyone know if I could
just buy a new internal battery or what? Please help if you can! Thanks
