Far as I know, there is no device called
clipboard. How would one pass a variable to the
clipboard from a batch file?

Wow! I never knew you could copy an error message.
And I never knew about Clip.exe, though I suppose
I could have read the details when I downloaded
the Tools.

But wait! There's more! I burrowed down and came
across Autoit, a scripting language with bells and
whistles. And FREE. According to the propaganda
you can make .exe files from the scripts.

Excuse me, I'm going away now to install it.

Thanks for the lead

Very true; in fact I use it. But I don't see how
one would use it in a batch file.
