Batch Resizing of graphics files

Does anyone know of a program which will take a large group of files (mostly
jpg + a few gifs) and convert them all to a standard size, say 800x600?

Irfanview is what you want.....nice and simple to use too

Well actualy most graphic programs can, but the above 4 are the top in
freeware imaging.
