What is a .bat file? And, can i use it to bundle up my
reference files and subsequently install them with ease on
aother user's computer...say they do not have the necessary
reference files to activate the database. (ie, bldwizmgr)

Ah, no. A .bat file contains a list of DOS commands, of fairly limited us
in the Windows environment.

You can build Install files with a third-party tool, or the widget that
comes with the Developer version of Access.

Thanks,

What is a third party tool and where do I get teh
developer version of Access?

Is this a hard process to do?- the installer?

A third party tool is something written by somebody other than MS, a "third
party" (you and MS being the other two). You might check the FMS site.

You get the developer version from Microsoft. I'm afraid I don't pay much
attention, since I have MSDN universal, which includes all the developer
tools, but you can check the Microsoft site for details.

Sorry, I don't think that was much help, was it...
