I have two laptops. One is older with 8.02.11b pcmcia
running Windows 98SE. Other is new with integrated
8.02.11g running Windows XP. All I want to do is
transfer files. Can I do this with the equipment I
have? Any sites that tell how? Do I need something
else? Sure would appreciate any help or hints. Thanks.

Wireless info on Microsoft site gives a good start.
Just keep in mind that if you connect both B and G cards to same access point,
the G card will work in "older" B mode.

yes you can share the files and folders by the wireless
cards you have.what you have to do is you have to
configure the wireless network in ad-hoc mode.go thru this
link:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/columns/bowma
n/02april08.asp
this is for win xp.
in win 98 you hav to check the ad-hoc in the wireless
utility.
Best Regards
Mark
