Does anyone here know how to change the starting screen of the outlook
to be different than the regular inbox default?

You can change it very easy to the view "outlook today" if you wish.
Do you like to know how to make, or would you find out yourself?

Hi Asaf,

You didn't mention the version, but this applies to 2002 or 2003:

Click tools/options/"other" tab, click on "advanced options", the top of the
next dialog has a browse option to dictate which folder is opened at
startup.

This would also seem to apply to 2000.

...perhaps the question should be asked in the Outlook newsgroups?
