oh'k looking at those cases and at first i thought, why so small? then i thought, ahh for on the go pc gamers going to lans or even just traveling.. (my mate goes to his mates down south and takes his pc..) any who0 while reading custompc mag, i noticed that you can pack a cack load into a barebones case, i mean theres one with deul processers and 2gig of ram!

so i was thinking, as they seem like pricy cases should i invest in one, for my new pc? or are they a "fad"?

discuss - :P

Err well... they tend to get VERY hot due to restricted airflow. Putting super good bits in one is never a brill idea, besides, i don't think they even allow you to, i.e. motherboard restrictions, graphics card restrictions, CPU Cooler restrictions, PSU restrictions.

It's not worth it, at all.

I'd never buy one...

But that is just my opinion.

when looking through my mag, it brought up these points such as the heat problems but it also had the brand new products in.

they look strange to me, i dont think pcs that small look right. in think a pc should be big and buiteful... just like a women! :O (dont worry i am no chubby chaiser.. chasier? they cant run!)

i just wonder why they cost so much...

The have to have Micro ATX Motherboards in them, and if i am correct, they generally arent as good as most regular ones you buy.

well balls to them then! I am going to stick to a nice big case with some cathodes in for a bit of fun! ( if you could have any case from any company what would it be?)

I quite like the shuttle systems, they are nice, but as chris postill said, airflow sometimes does play a large factor in how well your pc could run, and to prolong your components, it is very essential that they are cooled well.

Go for a ATX mobo and lots of cooling capacity if your getting a meaty machine.

Chris.

i just poped in pc mods in google.. and it has become aparant to me that some/alot of modders dont have any class lol, there all there with there 10 differnt coloured leds and hectic cut outs of dragons and spiders, with white drives on a blue case... i am going to have to show off when i get mine lol.

I was determined to make mine completely black, some modders have a faint taste of colour, which results in unco-ordinated colour schemes.

Chris,

before i can plan my modding lol, i need to decide wich case to get :( and this is very tough work as alot of modders use the Chieftec cases, i want somthing a little differnt.

I have a;

Antec SOHO Fileserver Case, Black.

Was on Overclockers Uk but it's now disappeared,

It's nice, but is quite tall. And has 4 fan mounts which i take advantage of.

Chris,

i want somthing that doesnt have front panneling, yet i want somthing i can change to be differnt, maybe a coolmasters but most of them have doors on.

I have a door on mine, but i like the security, as then no one messes with my pc, aswell as the door, the case also features a locking side panel.

Now that i have build it, it would of been nice to have a window case but i stuck 2 neons on the base of the case anyway to give out a glowing effect.

Looks good!
