barcode software recommendation

I want to capture the barcode data on my bills using a barcode scanner.
What software do I need?

You don't need any specific software to "capture" data
from a barcode scanner. As long as the scanner is
installed correctly on your machine, and is capable of
reading the barcode, it will output the equivalent text
string. Notepad will do fine!
