Bar codes in word 2007

Can a postal bar code be put on an envelope using word 2007?
I have not been able to find out how.

You can insert a BARCODE field in Word 2007 using Insert | Text | Quick
Parts | Field, but see here for why it's a waste of time: “The POSTNET bar
code that Word generates no longer qualifies for USPS bulk mailing
