Hello All
I am looking for a way to add bar code scanning into access,
need a small database to keep track of atendance and meal counts
one scan in the moring and one scan at breakfast, lunch, and snack, and need
to be able
to print reports by dates for the atendance and reports for meal counts,
have been looking at
retail software packages but most of them have to much other crap added on
to them. need
to find something a little more basic.

Thanks Scott

All you need is a barcode reader that connects via the keyboard connection.
Scanned codes then appear to your computer the same as if they were typed from
the keyboard. If you want to print barcodes just obtain a barcode Windows font.
I found a free one several years ago that has worked great for me.
