I was thinking it would be nice to make a banner but my graphics program
would limit me to the size of what I can make.
Anyone recommend a program whereby I can make a banner (my choice of
size e.g. 10 A4/Letter pages together) with big text and graphic
optional as background or with text, using continuous paper in an inkjet
or A4/Letter where I would have to join it manually.

this is the info I have (not a lot):

BigText

BigText BIGTEXT 2.1 converts text to banners that can be displayed to
the screen or printed out; allows you to change font, colors, fill
character, and direction of text. (17 KB)

and Poster v 1.2

http://users.northnet.com.au/~mitchymoo/freeware.html

Poster has been designed to let you easily and quickly create large
posters and signs, printing them at up to 10 times the size of a single
sheet. The posters are text and graphics. This program is very easy to
use, and it is very simple to create large posters. It is especially
useful when you have a number of fonts installed, as the font selection
menu displays renditions of all the true-type fonts. The final poster
size is fully configurable. This program is "Freely Distributed". The
author has given permission for the file to be distributed without
restriction, but does not permit alterations to the file. Click here to
download Poster. (60kb zip file)

and Poster Maker 1.3

http://riverbbs.net/files/output/75.Html

http://riverbbs.net/pub/printer/POSTER13.ZIP

I couldn't get to this site - I *think* it might be the next version of
Poster - this is still a freeware version

MyAlbum can print posters:

Feedback would be appreciated . . . :)

It is. Bob Bedoll wrote both versions of the program. The program is now
payware.

Thanks much John,

Have you tried both versions 1.2 and 1.3? If so, what differences are there?
