Evaluating FP2003 and Server 2003. I see the Banner Ad
Manager has been removed. I tried to re-add it to a
toolbar but it just goes to gray when you exit the toolbar
editor.

Has this component been removed because of .Net or what?

Any insights would be appreciated.

Hi Joe,

It is still there in the Command well. Right click anywhere on a toolbar |
Customize

Microsoft is attempting to depreciate all Java Applets that appeared in FP
2002.

Microsoft removed the Banner Ad Manager component because
it uses a Java applet, and Windows no longer comes with a
Java Virtual Machine.

ASP and ASP.NET both offer ad managers that have better
features anyway. For info on the ASP component, refer to

It is still there. It's in the command well. Tools, Customize and you'll
find it in the Insert category on the Commands tab.
