Hi. I'm using the pop up blocker on Netscp 7.1, which is very good. I'd like
to go a step further and block the ads which appear on all web sites these
days. Does anyone have a recommendation for an ad blocker that doesn't block
too many non-ad's at the same time?

I was hoping not to have to resort to a proxy. But I'll keep it in mind if
nothing else works out. Thanks.

Bannerblind blocks banners based on size, it's a little inactive right now.

http://adblock.mozdev.org/ blocks banners based on url strings.
With a few simple rules you can block most common banners.

Are you using a hosts file?

I'm sorry. What is a *hosts file?* And how is it used?
