Bank Logging in problems

Hi

I recently started having lots of problems "staying" logged into my acct at
my banks website. I only have this problem at home. I do not have any
problems getting into or staying logged on at work.

The first time I try and log in it starts to load my acct page, then
suddenly it logs me off saying I've "timed out". However, it's only bit a
split second so NO WAY have I timed out. I've contacted the bank who say
there is nothing wrong on their end. I've also contacted my ISP who has
walked me through lots of "possible" problems, but to no avail. However, at
first they said it was the new IE 7. But unloaded IE 7 and that didn't work
either.

Has anyone else had a similar problem? If so, what do I do about it?

Hi Laura,
1- Try this, Open Control Panel >> Double click Networking and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options and on the IE Properties window
click on Connections Tab and click on Settings for your Default connections.
On the Default connections Settings window clcik on Properties and check
these settings:
General | Options | Securiity | Networking | Advanced

Click Options Tab and under this option:
Redailing Options:
Idle time before hanging up [ Never ]

Click On Networking tab:
Under this option;
Type of dial up server calling:
[ PPP ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~]
Click on [ Settings ] Button and see what is selected there.
Try to select this;
[ √ ] Enable LCP extensions

Again on your coonection default settings click on [ Advanced ] Button
which was under Properties in first step.
On the Advanced Dial Up windiws settings check this option settings:
[ √ ] Disconnect if idle for [ 30 ] Minutes or so.

Click on Advanced Tab on the IE Properties and scroll down under this option
and check these boxes:
[&] Security
[ √ ] Use SSL 2.0
[ √ ] Use SSL 3.0
[ √ ] Use TLS 1.0
2 -There is an option may be on your Modem hardware to save power, so
uncheck this from the power managment option to do that Right Click My
Computer and Select properties from the drop down list and on System
Properties click on Hardware Tab then click on Device manager.
There click on network Adapters to expand and Right click your Modem and
select properties.
On properties click on Power management Tab, then uncheck this box:
[ ] Allow the computer to trun off this device to save power.

HTH.
Please let us know.

Hi Nash, thanks for helping me. You said to "click on Settings for Default
Connections" but it's grayed out and I cannot get to Settings. I have cable
and not dial up, so now what do I do?
