I hope someone knows how to deal with this since I seem to
find no solutions yet..I keep finding these "bandit"
looking elements with a ? before the "face-with-bandana"
inside all my directory security properties ! They
disappear quickly when you
go into the security tab of the directory properties. They
will sometimes "stay still" and one can delete them. But
they will reappear some time later. I was able to copy the
number on two of these elements. They have a long integer
attached which I include here... ( ? "face-with-bandana"
S-1-5-21-57989841-854245398-1171511075-500) . They give
themselves full permissions just about anywhere they like.
ExaMPLE #2 ....best way to describe what they look like
( ? "face-with-bandana" S-1-5-32-547 ). Most of the time
they are "unseable" or dissappear very quickly when
entering the security tab.
I have reformatted the drive, scanned with MCaffee,
HouseCall, Pest Patrol, and maintain ZoneAlarm running. I
cleaned all pests according to all these vendors, and my
system "seems" clean, but the bandits remain....
What are they ? Where do they come from ? What do they
want ?? Thanks in advance for your help !
