Hello

just recieved my new thermaltake case and moved all my components from my
old case into it every thing ok, next minute the monitor goes blank and I
can't get a picture, I tried to re boot no luck

I have power to the board and the power supply fires up, but no output to
the monitor

I have changed I plugged in the old mutha board memory and PII Chip still
the same, I then decided it must be the video card, went and bought new
video card, installed still no luck

So the only common components are the mouse and the keyboard could one of
these be the problem?

any other suggestions

thanks
Neville

The last time I experienced this type of scenario, I had a weak battery on
my board. I replaced that and it worked. Just a thought - I got mad at
myself because I spent money on a replacement power supply and processor.

Which case?
I have just got the Xaser 2000a and fitted everything.
Occasionally when I go to open or close the bay door the computer goes BSOD,
I can only think that this is caused by static electricity (aluminium case,
all wood floor etc) maybe you spiked something with static, just a thought.

To the o/p, have you tried a different monitor?

To Helinut, if your PC BSOD's when you open/close the bay door on your
Xaser, it seems likely you have a loose connection to something or other
(which is being disturbed by the door movement), quite possibly a CD drive.
I had this problem once with my Xaser III, the data lead to my DVD and CD
Burner wasn't in the DVD drive properly and loosened up when I shut the
door.

Sounds like a grounded MB. See if it works outside the case.

With the power cord pulled clear the CMOS and make sure the AGP video
card if you are using one is pushed all the way in until it clicks
into place and that all the motherboard/case connectors are correct
for power switch etc and,"Yes" a bad mouse or keyboard can prevent
P.O.S.T !
