Badly need help

Hi all
i was working on my pc yesterday the i installed Partion Magic v8 t
see its feature then i uninstalled it , then i restared my pc afte
this restart i found that 2 partions of my hard disk not accessibl
& this Msg appears : " the drive E not formated do u wanna forma
? " & the same Msg for the another partion then i opend th
properties i found in the File system Item UNKNOWN was written lik
this : " File System : Unknown " !!!!!!! so what i can do to fix my
partions without losing the data on these partions please help me

Easy: Format the drives and use your backups to restore the data.

You need a file\data recovery program. Purchased ones are Very expensive.
Partition Magic is a Dangerous program. As you have found out.
I suggest you ask your question at `alt.comp.freeware`

It may be as simple as the filesystem type in the MBR has been changed. (I
once had a situation with a Windows/Linux dual boot where LILO made my
second and third windows partitions 'hidden', by changing two bits in the
MBR...). You could use a tool like Winhex to look at the MBR and see what
the filesystem types are given as. (You will need a reference of course).
