My computer will periodically produce the a Windows “Blue Screen†listing a
BAD_POOL_CALLER error message. There appears to be no consistence or common
“trigger†for this error. Sometimes it happens on “Boot-Upâ€. Sometimes it
happens in “Mid-Useâ€. Sometimes several days can pass where this error does
not happen at all.
When this error happens, the computer must be completely shut down or
restarted. After the computer is shut down, it can then be powered back up
and I am usually able to get back into my environment and continue working.
This problem happens between 3 and 20 times per week. No new hardware or
software has been installed.
The specific message that appears on the blue screen is listed below.
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage

any windows updates you might need.

software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you
need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer,
