Also, when i first installed it, was hiding in my tray, and no option i could
find to unhide it, but now it seems to stay in tray, but gives me an Pointer
Error when I attempt to scan computer (been 3 days since last scan). I
mentioned this 3 days since last scan, because I noticed someone esle just
posted the same exact problem about Pointer Error and 3 days since last scan.

The WD icon does not permanently appear in your sys tray by design with this
particular BETA. Some posts I have read seem to suggest MS, MAY, consider
reinstating it as there are those who feel reassured when they see it sitting
in the sys tray. The reason you see the icon at the moment is because WD is
drawing your attention to something which needs user input. In your case,
that you have not scanned your computer for three days. This seems to be the
default value. The pointer error is a known issue and, for some, seems to
happen when the option to scan is selected from the scan button offered in
the Home Page. In the meantime, you should be able to complete a scan
selecting the Scan option on the menu bar. Provided all is well, the icon
will disappear again.

Hope this helps.

I believe this error is a bug--just ignore it--and choose scan from the menu
at the top of the home page--that should succeed.
