I have windows 2000 AD with windowsXp SP1 clients. I have
made 3 policies in the AD. When I logon with an XP client
it takes about 2 minutes. There is a window with the
message "Applying Computer Settings". Even if I only use
the default domain policy of Microsoft I get the same
message. If I restart the client and wait about 2 minutes
before logging on, then the performance is very well. It
seems that the first time after a reboot of a client
there is a difficulty with starting something, or there
is a communication problem. We have checked DNS and this
is ok. On the Internet I have read that a lot of people
had problems like this, but all there solutions are
something about DNS. Our DNS is okay, so have anybody
else a clue. Please let me know asap.
