Hi all!
I just bought a P4C800 Deluxe motherboard and 2-80gig hard drives. I got Win
XP home to load right up.
I put the drivers disk into my CD player and everything locks up! So I
rebooted the machine and tryed to
run it in my other CD/RW player, same thing. Only this time the player just
keeps running and running. Another
reboot! Thinking that something has happened to my players I pulled them out
and put the ones from my old
system in. Same thing! I contacted techsupport and they told me that I
needed to do a fresh install of XP and
then install the drivers. So I put everything back and format and everything
and SAME THING!
Ok I'm kind of upset now so I try to play 10 or so disks in the same
players, every single one of them play
without a problem! Back to techsupport and they tell me to try cleaning the
players and do a fresh install of
windows. 5 days I've been trying to get this computer up and running, I have
come up with this.. I put one of the
new 80gig hard drives into my old system, I'll download the drivers I need
onto that then put it into my new system
and install them that way!

Ok new problem I can't read the disk so I don't know what drivers I need to
download! Please! could someone put
a list of whats on the P4C800 Deluxe disk so I can download them and use my
new computer!
Sorry for the long drawn out version but no computer shop here and I kinda
wanted to build it myself .
Thanks for any help you can give me!

Go to their website and download the drivers you need from there. Put them
on a disk and use that. Toss out the one that came with the motherboard.

You'll prob want to install the mobo chipset drivers first, then the LAN
and whatever else is enabled onboard. Just download the drivers for your
mobo & OS. Device manager in Windows will show the devices that need
drivers.

Sometimes you get this bad disc problem and usually it can be overcome
simply by burning a copy of the disc and using the copy instead.

I usually ignore the disk anyway. By the time the
motherboard+CD makes it through the chain of suppliers
and venders and into my hands the software it usually
a couple of versions behind what you can download from
the manufacturer's web site.

I had the same problem this past weekend - I couldn't read the disk
in the first two drives I tried it in (although the drives read all my
other disks fine); Fortunately, I was able to read the disk in a third
drive.

List of files follows my sig. It's easier to read in a fixed pitch
font.
