I am trying to load windows 2000 professional on a nwely
formatted PC. But I get the following error when irt trys
to start up.
Stop:c0000221 {bad Image Checksum}
The image ole32.dll is possibly corrupt. The header
checksum does not match the computed checksum.

This is a new install and I cannot get past this.

any help would be appriciated.

This is the exacte same problem I'm having trying to load Win2k on
system that ran fine with Win98. I've Fdisk'ed and reformated thre
times with the same error message on the blue screen of death. I
appears right after the Win2k Splash screen.

I hope someone can answer this one for me too :wha

Could be just a single bad bit in the ole32.dll file that's throwing the
computed checksum off. The bad bit could result from a flawed spot on
the CD, some momentary misbehavior of a RAM card or some mainboard
circuit, or a bad spot on the hard drive, among other things.

Try, try again is one approach to fixing this, if that's the problem.
Other approaches might be more arduous. And of course the above might
not really be the problem. Wish I could be more helpful.
