Bad Copy of Access?

I have been working in Access for a while now. Just recently I started noticing some very strange things happening within Access. Today I discovered I can't import spreadsheets and I just created a form and was attaching a command button to it when a "Method 'CurrentDB' of object '_Application' failed" message popped up.

Has anyone seen this? Is this because of a VB reference setting problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.....

What version of Access? What version of Windows? What service packs have you applied to
Office and to your version of Windows? What SP level of JET are you using? Do you have
up-to-date antivirus software? Have you scanned your hard drive for viruses? Have you
cleared your temp folder recently? How much hard drive space do you have available? Have
you defragged the hard drive recently? Do you experience erratic behavior in any other
applications (possible problem with a memory chip)?

Lots of questions....need some answers to help you further.

Something I forgot to add from my post last night....

If you are using Access 2000 or later, you should be able to find an option on your Help
menu that reads:

Detect and Repair...

You should have your installation CD available before starting this process. I believe
you will be prompted to insert it before the process is completed.

Good Luck!
