I am running Outlook 2000 in WinX

Have a problem with my primary contact list. There appear to be a number of blank contacts which I cannot delete and I can not import new or replacement vales for individual contacts. I have not been able to find a way to repair the database

Are you using a .PST file? If so, try running the Inbox Repair Tool against
it to see if it finds any errors. Search your drive for a file called
scanpst.exe and run it.

Thank you so much for your reply. I ran the scan program but still seem to be having the problem of not being able to delete some contacts. If I try and delete a contact I still get "The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem persists restart outlook" Of course restarting does not solve the problem.
