Is there any way to clear a single entry form Outlook's autocomplete list.
I have a user running Outlook 2002 who sent mail to another user with a typo
(since corrected) in the display name. Now when the first user begins
typing the second user's name he gets the original erroneous entry. Any
suggestions?

A gloss on Russ' method: It only works if there are at least two e-mail addresses with the same initial three characters. Absent this, you must first create a second address (by entering that address in the To field of a new message and clicking Send). This is no problem if the correct address has the same first three characters, eg the incorrect address is abcant@.... and the correct address is abcanter@.... If not - eg the correct address is abkant@... - create a fictitous address such as (e-mail address removed). You will be left with this fictitious address after deleting the original incorrect address but at least it is obvious that it is fictitious. See generally http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=289975, although I think that what is said there is not quite accurate. There is also a downloadable program - Owtlook AutoComplete File Editor 1.0 - available at $14.95 (free to try) to edit the NK2 file where the AutoComplete addresses are stored. I haven't tried it

And this glitch was fixed in Outlook 2003.
