I've just purchased the Logitech DiNovo media desktop. Whilst I'm very happy
with it and it's working fine, inorder for desktop messenger and other web
related stuff to work properly , the software seems to come with what SpyBot
deems as spyware called Backweb.
However it seems i need this spyware for the system to work properly as I
ran SpyBot, got rid of backweb but kept getting error messages when running
some of the software. I've now recovered backweb and all is well
My question is, how malicious is backweb and is it ok to keep some spyware
deliberately on the pc, ie for product updates, communication, bluetooth
security keys validations etc
TIA
